These terms cover your use of Homemaker (https://www.homemaker-hq.com). By creating an account, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how your information is handled.
What the app is
Homemaker is a small, independent app, currently in early testing, for tracking a household's food and supplies, planning meals, and making grocery lists. It is provided free of charge and “as is.” Features may change, and the app may be unavailable at times.
Your account
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Only invite people you want to share your household's information with.
- Don't misuse the app, try to access other households' information, or interfere with the service.
Meal plans and food safety
- Meal plans, recipes, expiry dates and amounts are suggestions, partly written by AI. They can be wrong.
- The app checks plans against the dietary rules you set, but always read ingredients and labels yourself, especially for allergies, and use your own judgment about whether food is safe to eat.
- The app does not give medical or nutrition advice.
Shopping and orders
- The app never places orders or handles payments. If you connect a store such as Kroger, the app can add items to your cart; you review, place and pay for any order yourself, under that store's terms.
- Prices and product matches come from the store or your receipts and may be out of date or inexact.
Your information
What you enter stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run the app for you and your household. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Limits on responsibility
To the extent the law allows, Homemaker and the people who make it aren't liable for losses arising from use of the app, including spoiled food, orders, or reactions to food. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that misuse the app.
Changes
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
